Representatives from Google, GameGeek, and ByteDance will discuss development strategies, market expansion, and technology application to elevate Vietnamese games globally at Vietnam GameVerse 2026, taking place on 8/5.

The Vietnam Game Forum, themed "Do Local - Go Global" (together reaching the wider world), will take place at 8:30 h on 8/5 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), as part of Vietnam GameVerse 2026.

The forum focuses on the challenge of moving the Vietnamese game industry beyond the domestic market, gradually establishing its position on the global map. Presentations will cover market size, development trends, and opportunities and challenges in this new phase.

Opening the forum, Vu Minh Hanh, CEO of GameGeek, will present an overview of the Vietnamese game industry with a presentation titled "Vietnamese Games Reaching New Heights - From Domestic Market to Global Position." The market maintains positive growth, supported by a young workforce and increasing product development capabilities. However, to compete internationally, businesses need to standardize development processes, invest long-term in quality, and refine release strategies.

From a global platform perspective, Giuseppe Stasolla, Head of Ecosystem, Southeast Asia, Google Play, will share insights on "Creating a Path to Global Stature Together." His presentation will outline solutions for Vietnamese studios to leverage data, optimization tools, and global networks to enhance their competitiveness.

Beyond market discussions, technology will also be a central focus. Kien Bui, a representative from ByteDance, will discuss the application of artificial intelligence in game development.

The Vietnam Game Forum 2026 is expected to create a networking space for domestic businesses and international platforms, helping to shape a long-term direction for the game industry amidst increasing global competition.

The event is part of Vietnam GameVerse, directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and co-organized by the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information, VnExpress newspaper, FPT Online Joint Stock Company (FPT Online), and the Vietnam Game Alliance.

This year, the two-day event on 8-9/5, themed "Do Local - Go Global", features several prominent activities, including: the Vietnam Game Forum, Vietnam Game Awards, the Cosplay Contest 2026 finals, a game experience zone, business networking events, and entertainment programs for the gaming community.
