This year's expo area is about 1/3 larger than previous years when it was located at 2/4 Square. This is the first time VnExpress Marathon has held an expo within an enclosed space in a coastal urban area, expanding the event space and enhancing the runner experience.

Taking place on 24/8 under the new name VnExpress Marathon Libera Nha Trang 2025, the race marks a new step in the journey of connecting the running community. The VnExpress Marathon organizers are collaborating with KDI Holdings, the investor of Libera Nha Trang and an entity involved in local socio-economic development.

The Libera Nha Trang coastal urban area is located on Tran Phu Street, towards Luong Son Pass. The 44-hectare project boasts over 2 km of private coastline and state-of-the-art infrastructure, capable of hosting a large-scale expo serving over 10,000 athletes. During the race kit distribution days (22-23/8), the organizers, in coordination with KDI Holdings, will host various minigames, experiential activities, and unique gifts from the urban area's service ecosystem.

A KDI Holdings representative stated that they partnered with VnExpress Marathon because they share the same spirit and goal of bringing sustainable and positive values to the community. A marathon is a journey of discipline, but also a journey of freedom. Runners are free to explore, experience, define their goals, and pursue victory. Similarly, Libera Nha Trang emphasizes freedom of expression, where individuality and personal imprints are celebrated.

"We hope that when runners participate in the VnExpress Marathon and experience the activities at Libera Nha Trang, they will enjoy the international-standard service ecosystem and feel the freedom, excitement, and vibrant festival atmosphere", the representative said.

This year's VnExpress Marathon Libera Nha Trang is expected to welcome a record 13,000 athletes within the system. The race's appeal stems from its stunning coastal route, considered one of the most beautiful in Vietnam. With each stride, runners discover the beauty of a dynamic and modern city undergoing transformation. Running along routes like Tran Phu and Pham Van Dong, they can also admire the majestic mountain and sea scenery at sunrise.

Luong Son Pass, with its undulating slopes, presents the main challenge for the 42km distance. The approximately 50m high pass serves as a test of physical endurance and a reward for those who conquer it. From this vantage point, runners can gaze upon Nha Trang Bay, one of the ten most beautiful bays in the world, and the city shrouded in the early morning mist.

Libera Nha Trang, the location of the expo, boasts a picturesque setting with mountains at its back and the sea facing forward. The project features a private beach, Van San Dao coral park - Vietnam's largest artificial biological nursery and biodiversity marine conservation area. The area also offers a variety of F&B outlets and beachfront villas. The Do Theatre is the heart of the urban area, where the Roi Mo show takes place.

Hoai Phuong
