On 15/1/2017, the couple made their first public appearance together at the FIFA The Best Awards ceremony in Zurich, Switzerland, accompanied by Ronaldo's eldest son, Cristiano Junior. It was the second time the awards had been held, and Ronaldo won both times. Junior is Ronaldo's son from a previous relationship, and the mother's identity has not been revealed.

In 3/2017, Ronaldo officially confirmed their relationship on Instagram with a picture of them together on a sofa.

On 29/6/2017, Ronaldo announced the arrival of twins Eva and Mateo via surrogacy. A few weeks later, he confirmed that Georgina was pregnant with their first child together.
