Earlier this week, a commentator on the "Chuveirinho" podcast suggested that joining Al Nassr at 25 was a step back for Joao Felix. He also predicted that Felix's performance in Saudi Arabia would hinder his chances with the Portuguese national team.
Ronaldo, Felix's teammate at both Al Nassr and the national team, quickly responded. "Idiots," he commented. "They know nothing about football and give their opinions anyway."

Felix was once considered one of the world's top young talents. In 2019, he won the Golden Boy award, previously given to players like Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney, Sergio Aguero, Kylian Mbappe, and Erling Haaland while they were under 21.
However, Felix hasn't lived up to expectations. He scored only 34 goals in 131 appearances for Atletico Madrid despite a $141 million transfer fee. His stints at Chelsea, Barcelona, and AC Milan all lasted less than a season. This summer, the 25-year-old joined Al Nassr for $35 million.
Felix is currently in good form for his new club, with 4 goals in 5 matches. He also played for Portugal earlier this month, scoring twice in a 5-0 victory against Armenia.
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in early 2023 at the age of 38. In two and a half seasons, he has scored 101 goals in 115 games for the Saudi Arabian club.
The move to Asia hasn't affected Ronaldo's international career either. He has scored 6 goals in 6 matches for Portugal since the start of 2025, winning the Nations League and leading their World Cup qualifying group.
