Traveling to Etihad Stadium on 19/4, Arsenal did not play defensively, as manager Mikel Arteta had stated before the match. They executed counter-attacking tactics well, frequently applying significant pressure and creating clear chances, especially in the second half, but squandered them. Kai Havertz missed a one-on-one opportunity and headed over from close range, while Eberechi Eze curled a left-footed shot against the post and Gabriel Magalhaes' header deflected off a defender and hit the woodwork.
Commenting on Sky Sports, Gary Neville and Micah Richards suggested that Arsenal could find positives from the game. However, Keane strongly disagreed, stressing that performance holds little meaning at this crucial stage. "Do you want praise or points? Praise is worthless when you lose the game," the former Ireland international questioned.
When Richards proposed a positive outlook based on Arsenal's pressing play, Keane continued his retort: "Arsenal is a big club, not a small team to be satisfied with that."

Neville then interjected, suggesting that Arteta might still be proud of his players' performance and encourage them to maintain their form. Keane, however, showed his disapproval, sarcastically asking, "Proud? Really?"
The former Manchester United captain concluded his argument by pointing out that Arsenal's only goal came from a mistake by Gianluigi Donnarumma. "The ball was under the goalkeeper's control, 10 seconds later it was a goal. There's nothing to be proud of there," he stressed.
As the discussion broadened to the title race, experts continued to offer contrasting views. With their victory at the Etihad, Manchester City reduced the gap to Arsenal to three points and have one game in hand. If they defeat Burnley in their matchweek 34 fixture on 22/4, Guardiola's side will take the top spot in the league.
Neville believes Manchester City now holds a significant advantage, also warning of the pressure on Arsenal in their next match against Newcastle on 25/4, especially if they start poorly.
"I don't think both teams will win all their remaining matches. Arsenal needs Manchester City to slip up, but it's hard to pinpoint where they might drop points. Right now, the advantage is clearly with Manchester City," the former England defender commented. "For the first time this season, I lean towards Manchester City winning the championship."

Keane maintained a cautious stance but acknowledged Manchester City's superior resilience. He stated: "Momentum is with Manchester City. They have been the best team for years in terms of handling pressure. They played well in the second half and hit peak form at the right time. I still pick Arsenal, but my belief is not as strong as before."
From a different perspective, Patrick Vieira, a former midfielder for Arsenal from 1996 to 2005, questioned the character of his old club. "They played well, but the difference between a good team and a great team lies in the ability to maintain their level and win consistently," the French football legend emphasized. "Manchester City has that. Momentum is with them. Arsenal will face greater pressure after this defeat, and I doubt their mental fortitude. I believe Manchester City will win the league."
In the remaining Premier League fixtures, Arsenal will face Newcastle, Fulham, West Ham, Burnley, and Crystal Palace. Manchester City will play Burnley, Everton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, and Aston Villa.
