The event saw approximately 8,000 athletes compete across three distances: 5km, 10km, and 21km. Staggered starts took place from 4h to 5h30. From around 6h, most athletes began crossing the finish line, creating a bustling scene in front of Nguyen Tat Thanh Square in Quy Nhon ward, Gia Lai province.
For many participants, the first reward after completing the race was not a medal, but a warm hug from a loved one. Spouses, children, and parents waited patiently at the finish area, sharing a cherished moment that marked the conclusion of weeks of dedicated training.
Runner duos found unique ways to commemorate the memorable morning. After finishing the race together, they hugged, proudly displayed their medals, and even posed for photos carrying each other. For many, a race also represents a shared journey with companions, strengthening bonds through collective effort.

Medals quickly became popular photo props around the square. This year's medal design features the Tran Hung Dao statue from Hai Minh village as its focal point, cast in antique silver against a blue background, evoking the Quy Nhon sea.
The atmosphere became more lively as numerous running clubs and groups gathered their members. Together, they raised their medals and chanted slogans after crossing the finish line. In recreational running, clubs provide a vital space for members to train and set goals, making group photos a fitting conclusion to their shared journey.
As the physical pressure of the race concluded, many runners engaged in spontaneous celebrations. Some jumped up to display their medals, others sat directly on the ground in relief, while some poured water over themselves to cool down and celebrate simultaneously.
However, not all participants celebrated immediately. Some athletes sought a quiet place to sit and stretch or requested assistance from medical staff to alleviate muscle stiffness. The 21km group, having endured the longest exertion, represented the majority of runners requiring recovery in the post-finish area.
Ice baths were readily available to cool down and soothe sore muscles after the demanding race. Many runners, while soaking their feet, reviewed the statistics on their watches, meticulously analyzing each kilometer they had completed.
