"I want Salah to stay in Europe," Hassan said on 30/3 on Egyptian television channel On Sport. "I have heard about offers from PSG, Bayern, and some Serie A clubs. As for moving to MLS? There, he would completely move away from the peak spotlight. You wouldn't remember Salah, just as I have forgotten Lionel Messi. I don't even bother watching Messi play."
Currently, the Liverpool star has not officially announced his next destination after a 9-year journey filled with glory at Anfield. Wearing the Merseyside club's colors, Salah has captured every club-level championship, including two Premier League titles and one Champions League.

MLS commissioner Don Garber publicly expressed his desire to bring the Egyptian forward to the American professional league, but it is currently unclear if any MLS team has sent a formal offer to the 33-year-old forward.
Garber's move suggests MLS wants to repeat the strategy previously applied with Messi. After brilliant years at Barca and PSG, the Argentine superstar joined Inter Miami in 2023, not long after winning the 2022 World Cup. In the United States, Messi quickly became the new club's top forward in history.
However, Hassan – twin brother of Egyptian national team head coach Hossam Hassan – believes the Saudi Pro League would be a more reasonable choice if Salah decides to leave the old continent. "If there are no attractive offers from Europe, a move to the Saudi national league would be a good option, especially since this league currently boasts renowned names like Cristiano Ronaldo," Hassan commented.
Salah is currently recovering from an injury and is absent from the Egyptian national team's training camp in preparation for the 2026 World Cup campaign in North America. According to the schedule, the seven-time African champions will play a friendly match against Spain in Barcelona on 1/4, after crushing Saudi Arabia 4-0 in Jeddah on 28/3.
At the 2026 World Cup, taking place from 11/6 to 19/7, Egypt is in Group G alongside opponents Belgium, New Zealand, and Iran.
