Cristian Totti, son of Italian football legend Francesco Totti, once carried high expectations at the AS Roma academy. Playing as a forward, Cristian possessed a relatively modern playing style and spent time with the youth teams of Roma, Frosinone, and Rayo Vallecano. He later moved to lower-division clubs like Avezzano and Olbia in Serie D (Italy's fourth division).
At 19, Cristian unexpectedly decided to end his professional football career. According to Italian and Spanish media, the main reason was his inability to cope with comparisons to his illustrious father and the pressure from social media. Francesco Totti reportedly respected his son's decision and supported him in finding his own path in life.
Cristian is said to be currently assisting with coaching and youth training at the Totti Soccer School, a community football training facility founded by his family.
