Sports festival 2025 opens at NovaWorld Phan Thiet

The Sports Festival 2025, featuring 4 sports, kicked off at NovaWorld Phan Thiet on 23/8, marking the start of a series of events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security traditional day.

The event was attended by leaders from the Ministry of Public Security, Lam Dong province, along with representatives from local departments and agencies. Organizers stated this year's festival includes various competitions such as kickboxing, a running event with 5,000 athletes, clay pigeon shooting, and golf, attracting clubs, public security forces, and athletes from numerous provinces and cities. The event will take place in two phases: phase one from 19/8 to 2/9 and phase two from October to November.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ho Van Muoi, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, said the province is ready to collaborate with the People's Public Security Sports Association in developing sports movements, integrating culture and tourism, and providing infrastructure, security, and logistics support for the events.

A representative of the People's Public Security Sports Association noted the Sports Festival is an opportunity for officers and soldiers to train their courage and improve their health, while also serving as a bridge between the public security forces and the people.

The opening ceremony commenced with an artistic performance featuring light effects. A group of over 40 dancers performed "Shield - Star - Light," depicting the unity and role of the public security forces in protecting the nation. Following the flag-raising ceremony and national anthem, the audience enjoyed the dance "Faith of the Soldier," along with musical performances by singers Dong Nhi, Duc Phuc, Vo Ha Tram, Dong Hung, and others.

A highlight of the opening night was when all the artists and audience joined in singing "The Great Circle of Hands." The ceremony concluded with a fireworks display over NovaWorld Phan Thiet.

Mr. Duong Van Bac, CEO of Novaland Group, stated that through this event, the company has invested in more amenities and collaborated with the People's Public Security Sports Association to develop sports activities linked to tourism. This is a strategy to make NovaWorld Phan Thiet an international sports, beach tourism, resort, and wellness destination.
