Arriving in Da Nang on 16/9, Vivian is an avid CFO fan. She said the Taiwanese fan community eagerly awaited the LCP Finals, and many booked flights to Vietnam to support their players.

Explaining this enthusiasm, Vivian believes Riot Games' decision to merge domestic leagues into a single regional competition was a smart move. "The merger is a positive development. The important thing is that players have the best competitive environment, and LCP is truly a professional tournament with significant attention," Vivian explained.
Launched this year, the LCP combines the VCS (Vietnam), PCS (Taiwan), and LJL (Japan) leagues. The tournament brings together eight top teams from the Asia-Pacific region, including Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and Australia. The finals consist of two matches, held at the Tien Son Sports Palace on the afternoon of 20-21/9, featuring three teams: CFO, PSG Talon (Taiwan), and TSW (Vietnam).
Although holding the LCP finals in Vietnam means Taiwanese fans must travel further to see their supported teams, Vivian doesn't see this as a major issue. "The distance from Taiwan to Vietnam isn't far, and the cost is reasonable. We've followed some Taiwanese players competing in Vietnam before, so we also wanted to come here."
The impact of this new tournament model, according to Vivian, is most evident in the resurgence of the League of Legends scene in her homeland. "After the golden generation of players like Maple and Karsa, we were worried about a talent gap and thought League of Legends would decline. But fortunately, young players like HongQ have emerged," she shared.
The rise of this next generation is not only a welcome sign in terms of personnel but also reignites the passion within the community. Vivian noted the growing number of fans, especially young women, creating a new wave of fan culture.
Beyond her interest in the players, Vivian also appreciates the role of leaders in building the image and brand of Esports. When asked about Vietnamese teams, she surprisingly mentioned the CEO of GAM Esports.
"I'm also a GAM fan, and particularly impressed with TK Nguyen," she said. "He has a unique charisma and can energize any atmosphere he enters. I think Esports needs leaders like him to attract more viewers and elevate the image of this sport."
Professionalism, from the tournament to the teams, according to Vivian, is key to gradually changing societal perceptions. "In Taiwan, as in many other places, people often criticize young people who love Esports. I hope the image created by professional players and tournaments will change this," she expressed.
