Born in 1995 in Hai Phong, Le Thanh Thuy is 1,8 m tall, and both her parents are former volleyball athletes. As a child, Thuy often accompanied her mother to sports arenas, which sparked her interest in the sport. She started training at 10, turned professional at 14, and has played for various clubs throughout her career.
As a middle blocker, Thanh Thuy stands out among Vietnam's top athletes for her reflexes, offensive coordination, and blocking skills over the past decade. The 30-year-old has frequently received recognition as "best middle blocker" at both domestic and international tournaments.

At the 33rd SEA Games, Vietnam is in Group B with Indonesia, Myanmar, and Malaysia. Group A comprises host Thailand, a team with 14 consecutive championships, the Philippines, and Singapore. Earlier this year, Vietnam aimed for a gold medal. However, due to personnel shortages, particularly the absence of key attacker Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, the team adjusted its target to a silver medal.
In her nearly 20-year career, Thanh Thuy has accumulated almost 100 awards.

Beyond her athletic prowess, middle blocker Thanh Thuy possesses a gentle demeanor and striking beauty off the court. With her fair skin, beautiful face, and ideal physique, she has garnered attention from beauty experts. In 2014, she won the 'belle' title at the VTV Cup international volleyball tournament. Despite invitations to participate in beauty pageants, she consistently declined to prioritize her passion for volleyball.
