Earlier this year, Fury announced his retirement after losing a rematch to Oleksandr Usyk. However, the British boxer has recently hinted at a return by posting videos of training sessions with his coach, SugarHill Steward.
"Who do I want to fight now? Usyk. I want a rematch in the UK, that's all I want," Fury told Boxing News while attending the IBA Pro Event in Istanbul on 2/7.

Fury declared he would knock out Usyk, reiterating his dissatisfaction with the points loss to the Ukrainian boxer in 12/2024. "I want a fair fight, and I don't think I got that the last two times. I don't know what I'll have to do, because I can't let the fight be decided by the judges," the 36-year-old emphasized.
If a rematch with Usyk isn't possible, Fury wants to face his compatriot Anthony Joshua. Fury and Joshua are two of the biggest names in British heavyweight boxing. In 2021, when Joshua held the WBA, IBF, and WBO titles, and Fury held the WBC title, the two boxers reached an agreement to fight for a unification of all four prestigious heavyweight belts, but the deal later fell apart.
"It would be the biggest boxing match in British history," Fury stated. "It would break all records and sell out 100,000 tickets at Wembley in an hour. This fight could happen, if I decide to come back and the deal is right."
Usyk is preparing for a 4-belt unification fight against Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium on 19/7. However, Fury downplays Dubois' skills and expresses no interest in fighting the British boxer. "If I come back and fight Dubois, he won't be able to touch me, it'll be a one-sided fight," Fury confidently stated. "I wish Dubois luck in his fight with Usyk, but styles make fights, and Dubois' and my styles don't match. I'll destroy this guy."

Also on 2/7, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Entertainment, Turki Alalshikh, revealed that Fury would return to the ring in 2026. Alalshikh has been instrumental in the development of boxing in Saudi Arabia, bringing several high-profile matches to the country, including the two bouts between Fury and Usyk.
"I spoke with Fury, and he promised to come to Riyadh in the 2026 season. We have a rabbit to hunt," Alalshikh wrote on X. Fury often referred to Usyk as "the rabbit" during the lead-up to their two previous title fights, both held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
The 36-year-old Fury has had a rollercoaster career. He rose to prominence after defeating "Dr. Steelhammer" Wladimir Klitschko and capturing the WBA, IBF, IBO, and WBO titles in 2015. However, the British boxer was later stripped of his titles and left the sport due to personal issues.
Fury made a strong comeback, winning by TKO against Deontay Wilder in the seventh round at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in 2/2020. He then defended his title with another knockout victory over Wilder in their rematch in 10/2021, a TKO win against compatriot Dillian Whyte in 4/2022, and a victory over Derek Chisora at Wembley in 12/2022.
However, he lost two consecutive heavyweight title unification fights to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024 and announced his retirement for the fifth time. Fury concludes his career with 34 wins, one draw, two losses, and has never been knocked out. He is considered one of the greatest heavyweight boxers in history.
