U22 Vietnam trains in midday sun to scout Malaysia-Laos match

Vietnam's U22 coaching staff adjusted the training schedule to the morning, allowing the entire squad to attend the Malaysia versus Laos match at 4 PM on 6/12.

The coaching staff led the players through a normal intensity workout, incorporating more water breaks due to the heat.

U22 Vietnam's training session commenced at 10:30 AM at RABC University's field. This marked their first morning practice since arriving in Thailand.

The weather was intensely sunny and calm, with temperatures around 30°C. Coach Kim Sang-sik wore his sports sunglasses to better observe his players during the session.

Following warm-ups, the team dedicated about 15 minutes to passing drills and positional movements. Players were instructed to make precise passes, aiming to place teammates in favorable positions.

The hot conditions prompted many players to frequently wipe sweat from their faces. The full squad of 23 players was present. Midfielder Nguyen Xuan Bac (front, center) returned after a minor injury that had forced him off early in the 2-1 victory against Laos on 3/12.

Defender Pham Ly Duc (left) also had a swollen left eye. He reported a small scratch that became irritated by sweat during practice.

Coach Kim Sang-sik primarily observed his players for the initial 20 minutes. He occasionally shouted instructions to refine specific details, such as passing and ball control.

Before the team split for a scrimmage, Coach Kim Sang-sik was stern while reviewing the previous drills. The team has four more training sessions to refine their tactics before their final Group B encounter against Malaysia on 11/12.

This afternoon, the squad will travel to Rajamangala Stadium to watch the Malaysia-Laos game. Direct observation offers a more effective approach for detailed analysis than pre-match reports.
