The nomination portal for Vietnam Game Awards 2026 will remain open until the end of 1/3. This deadline is an extension from the initially scheduled closing date of 25/2, providing entities more time to finalize their applications. Following the 1/3 deadline, the organizing committee will compile and review eligible applications before announcing the official list for the subsequent rounds.
Initially, the nomination portal opened on 29/1. Over the past few days, many entities continued to submit applications to the system, resulting in over 100 nominations recorded to date. These applications span various categories, including games released in Vietnam, games developed by Vietnamese creators, esports, and the gamer support ecosystem.

A representative from the organizing committee stated that the extension ensures all nomination applications are thoroughly prepared, transparent, and adhere to the regulations. It also provides the expert council with a stronger basis for comprehensive review and evaluation before the voting phase begins.
"We have observed an increase in the number of applications compared to the same period, with many nominations coming from young studios and the Vietnamese game development community," a representative from the organizing committee shared. "Extending the deadline will help ensure inclusivity and fairness."
The schedule for the subsequent rounds remains unchanged. The preliminary round will take place from 10/3 to 31/3. Scores during this phase will be determined by a 50% reader vote and 50% evaluation from the expert council.
The final round will run from 7/4 to 21/4, featuring the three or five highest-scoring nominations from the preliminary round. Final scores will comprise 70% from the judging panel and 30% from the community. Categories for "most loved" will be determined entirely by reader votes.
The Game Awards are a central activity within the framework of Vietnam GameVerse 2026. The awards aim to honor products, individuals, and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the Vietnamese game industry, while also recognizing the innovative efforts of the domestic ecosystem.
This year's series of activities carries the theme "Do local - Go global," reflecting the Vietnamese game industry's ambition to enhance human resource quality, promote technology transfer, and market the "Make in Vietnam" brand internationally.
