Vietnam national team player creates a stir with wedding to 'gold shop owner'

Vo Hoang Minh Khoa, midfielder for Becamex TP HCM and the Vietnam national team, recently scored a 'goal of a lifetime' with his girlfriend, hotgirl Huynh Thanh Ngan.

When presenting this gift, the bride's mother cried. She explained it was a message to Minh Khoa that his family would always support him, hoping he would shine in his career like the brilliant and enduring diamond itself.

After eight years of dating, Vo Hoang Minh Khoa and Huynh Thanh Ngan married on 13/11. Thanh Ngan, who graduated with a degree in business administration from Dai hoc Quoc te Mien Dong, now manages her family’s gold shop business in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the wedding ceremony, the bride’s family presented the newlyweds with a gold crown, a gold jewelry set, two diamond jewelry sets, and two land use rights certificates. The groom’s family presented a similar amount of gold. A notable gift was a diamond necklace for the groom, engraved with "K10" – K for Minh Khoa’s name, and 10 for his familiar jersey number.

Minh Khoa and Thanh Ngan, both born in 2001 in Binh Duong, met and started their relationship at 17. “We met through a group of friends in high school,” Thanh Ngan shared. “At the time, Khoa was playing for CLB Binh Duong (now Becamex TP HCM) and attending evening classes. He would occasionally call or text to ask about schoolwork. We then grew fond of each other, and our friendship turned into love before we knew it.”

According to Thanh Ngan, Khoa is responsible, affectionate, and considerate of others. She noted that while many people hesitate to date footballers due to their demanding careers and frequent travel, this was never an obstacle for her. “Khoa always makes me feel safe and loved,” she said. She added that receiving love and support from both families was her greatest happiness, motivating them to build their future home.

On his personal page, Minh Khoa happily shared, “This match needs no VAR; it’s definitely the right person. Thank you for joining my team. The happy journey of footballer Minh Khoa officially turns a new page. This is the most important match of my life. Today, Minh Khoa scores the biggest goal: bringing his bride home.”

Minh Khoa rose through the Binh Duong youth academy, joining the first team in 2020, and has consistently made significant career advancements. In 2023, he helped the Vietnam U23 team win the U23 Southeast Asian Championship. In 2024, he played for the Vietnam U23 squad in the U23 Asian Championship finals in Qatar, scoring one penalty goal against Malaysia in the group stage to secure a 2–0 victory.

In June, coach Kim Sang-sik called Minh Khoa up to the Vietnam national team during the FIFA Days. He started in Vietnam’s 5–0 victory over Laos in the final qualifying round for the Asian Cup 2027. Recently, he sustained an injury and has been absent from both the V-League and the Vietnam national team.

After getting married, Minh Khoa and his wife both hope to have children soon to complete their home, which also serves as motivation for them to strive harder in their new life together.
