The SEA Esports Nations Cup (SNC) will be an annual event hosted in Vietnam from 2026, featuring national teams from across Southeast Asia competing in various disciplines. The Southeast Asian Esports Federation (SEAEF) initiated this event to foster stronger connections among member nations, organizing bodies, and the regional esports community. This collaboration marks a significant step in establishing a structured competition system with common operational standards for the entire region.

The inaugural season of the SNC will feature five disciplines and nine medal events: PUBG Mobile, Teamfight Tactics (TFT), Crossfire Legends (CFL), and Total Football. PUBG Mobile is expected to be a highlight due to its substantial player base in Southeast Asia and the strong international performance of many regional teams.

The total prize pool for SNC 2026 is 41,000 USD, equivalent to more than 1 billion VND.

Representatives from the involved parties emphasized that hosting the tournament in Vietnam aims to develop a stable, professional, and scalable model for regional esports in the long term. For Vietnam, the event will boost domestic esports and strengthen ties between esports, the gaming industry, and the digital content sector across Southeast Asia.

VNGGames serves as a coordinating partner for organizing and operating the tournament. The company's objective is to introduce more large-scale esports disciplines to Vietnam while enhancing the quality of organization, production, and operation of international tournaments.

Vietnam GameVerse 2026 takes place from 9-10/5 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in TP HCM. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism directs the event, which is co-organized by the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information, VnExpress newspaper, FPT Online Joint Stock Company (FPT Online), and the Vietnam Game Alliance.

This year's Vietnam GameVerse, themed "Do Local - Go Global," features several prominent activities: the Vietnam Game Forum, Vietnam Game Awards, the Cosplay Contest 2026 finals, a game experience zone, business networking, and entertainment programs for the gaming community.
