The VnExpress Marathon All-Star, originally scheduled for 25/1/2026, has been postponed. This decision was made because the original date coincided with the 14th National Congress of the Party, a significant political event taking place in Ha Noi from 19 to 25/1/2026. Such an event requires priority for security and traffic management.
After reviewing the schedule and consulting with relevant authorities, the organizing committee agreed to reschedule the race to Sunday, 8/2/2026. The race-kit collection day has also been adjusted to 7/2/2026 to ensure operational synchronization and convenience for athletes.

The organizing committee acknowledged that the schedule change might affect some athletes' personal plans. The organization is developing a support policy for those unable to participate on the new date and will announce it soon.
"We hope for the community's continued support and understanding, and are committed to further perfecting preparations to deliver a safe and meticulously organized All-Star season," a representative for the VnExpress Marathon All-Star organizing committee stated.
VnExpress Marathon All-Star is the first and only standard-certified marathon in Vietnam. Launched in 5/2025, the race offers one of the highest prize money pools in the country, with the 42 km champion receiving 100 million VND in cash.
To qualify for the race, male athletes must complete 42 km in under 4 hours or 21 km in under 2 hours. Female athletes must complete a full marathon in under 5 hours or a half marathon in under 2 hours 30 minutes.
The race is considered one of the most favorable venues for athletes to break their personal bests. Its course, fully closed off at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in Ha Noi, is known among the running community as Vietnam's "Temple of Speed" for marathons. The event had been initially scheduled for late January, a period known for low temperatures in northern Vietnam, which aids athletes in pursuing faster times.
Registration for VnExpress Marathon All-Star 2026 is currently open. Bib prices are 850,000 VND for the 21 km distance and 1.15 million VND for the 42 km distance. Additionally, the organizing committee offers 'experience bibs', limited to 100 slots per distance, which do not require qualifying standards. Experience bibs are priced at 1.1 million VND for 21 km and 1.5 million VND for 42 km, with registration closing on 9/1/2026. Interested runners can verify their performance here.
