Initially, registration was scheduled from 20/3 to 23/4. However, the immense appeal of the green route quickly helped the event reach its target. Organizers closed registrations ahead of schedule to ensure the quality of organization and participant experience.

"This is not just a response to a new race, but also demonstrates the appeal of a course that emphasizes a close-to-nature experience", a representative from the organizing committee stated.

The best prices during the super early bird phase were a primary reason for the rapid sell-out. During the initial sales phase, ticket prices ranged from 330,000 VND for the 5km distance to 790,000 VND for the 42km distance.

According to statistics from the organizers, the half marathon (21km) was the most popular choice, attracting nearly 40% of all registered runners. Following were the 10km with about 30% and the 5km with over 20%, while the 42km marathon accounted for approximately 10%.

TP HCM was the locality with the overwhelming number of runners, accounting for nearly 85% of total participants. Hanoi ranked second, followed by several southern localities such as Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap, and Can Tho.

The participant demographic also spanned a wide range of ages. The 24-44 age group dominated, comprising 60% of all runners. Runners under 24 contributed about 25%, while the over 45 age group was at 15%, demonstrating the race's appeal to both young runners and those who have maintained long-term running habits.

The organizing committee stated that preparations are proceeding on schedule, aiming to ensure the utmost safety and best experience for runners at the event on 1/5. Hydration stations and medical teams will be deployed throughout the course. The route will also be maximally secured to limit traffic conflicts, creating favorable conditions for runners to conquer their distances.

Beyond the appeal of the running course, Can Gio leaves an impression with its distinct natural environment. Routes passing through mangrove forests, along the coast, and wide-open roads offer a sense of relaxation, closeness to nature, and a unique experience compared to most urban races.

Can Gio's inclusion in the VnExpress Marathon system also reflects a trend towards destinations with clear identities. With its characteristic ecosystem and surrounding green landscape, this locality not only offers a new course but also provides a race experience closely aligned with the ecological spirit the event aims for.

The VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio takes place on 1/5, combining various festival and culinary activities. Runners can anticipate the greenest course in the VnExpress Marathon system, featuring a route "through the forest, by the sea". The race is organized by VnExpress newspaper, FPT Online Services Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with Vinhomes Green Paradise.

Vinhomes Green Paradise spans 2,870 ha, planned as an international, ecological, smart, multi-functional coastal mega-city, aiming for ESG++ standards. The urban area integrates spaces for: residential, accommodation, commercial, tourism, medical, and educational purposes, while also being a suitable environment for running enthusiasts. It is expected to become a new tourism icon, attracting 40 million visitors annually.
