The design marks the race's 6th year in Hue. This year, the race shirts continue to offer two versions for athletes: T-shirt and Singlet. Compared to the 2025 design, the 2026 season's race shirts are more refined and minimalist. They focus on the distinctive purple hue and stylized imperial motifs, creating a sleek, unified look.

Purple remains the prominent identifying feature of the shirts. This color evokes Hue, a city known for its gentle, ancient, and contemplative beauty. The gradient color scheme, transitioning from deep purple to pinkish-purple, ensures a soft yet striking appearance as runners move along the course.
The front of the shirt features the VnExpress Marathon logo and 'HUE' on the chest, with typography inspired by imperial court art. The lower body highlights stylized cloud and wave motifs, drawing inspiration from Nguyen dynasty decorative patterns commonly found on imperial architecture, ceramics, and traditional attire. The upper shirt uses a mesh-like dotted pattern, creating a light, airy feel and enhancing the design's athletic appeal.
On the back, the Vietnamese national flag and race logo are positioned at the top. 'HUE 2026' runs vertically down the back in a prominent yellow tone against the purple background. The cloud and wave motifs reappear consistently on the lower body.

“We want the shirt to be more than just race attire; we want it to carry the spirit and identity of Hue. The purple hue and imperial motifs are incorporated into the design, allowing runners to feel the cultural essence of the imperial city as soon as they put on the shirt,” a representative from the organizing committee stated.
Velosar, a brand that recently became a strategic partner of the VnExpress Marathon system for the 2026-2027 period, continues to supply this year's race shirts. Following a successful 2025 collaboration, Velosar will provide all race attire, finisher shirts, and apparel for the pacer team and operational staff at all events within the system.
The VnExpress Marathon Hue 2026 will take place on 19/4. Athletes across all distances can choose between a Singlet or T-shirt style based on personal preference at registration. In addition to the race shirt, runners who legitimately complete the 21 km distance will receive an additional finisher shirt. The organizing committee will announce this shirt's design soon.
Currently, the race offers Super Early Bird bib sales until 13/3, priced at 370,000 VND for the 5 km distance, 490,000 VND for 10 km, and 720,000 VND for 21 km. Discounts for large groups continue to encourage community running.
This year, the organizing committee has temporarily suspended the full marathon (42 km) distance, focusing instead on developing the half marathon (21 km) and shorter distances. This decision aims to optimize the course and enhance the racing experience for athletes.
