Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, Tu Do Stadium in Hue, and Norodom Square in Ho Chi Minh City were sites of rallies and demonstrations that culminated in the August Revolution 80 years ago.
Hanoi is rushing to install a 30,000-seat grandstand in Ba Dinh Square and widen surrounding roads for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on 2/9 (A80).
