The Central Propaganda and Mobilization Commission on 18/9 issued Instruction 08 regarding the organization of major national holidays and important historical events for the 2026-2030 period.

According to the instruction, the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam's establishment (3/2/1930-3/2/2030) will be a national-scale event. Its central activities include a commemorative ceremony, military parade, and procession at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi.

Hanoi will host the commemorative ceremony, coordinating with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other relevant agencies. The Ministry of National Defense will lead the military parade and procession program.

The event is organized by the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Hanoi. It will be broadcast live on radio and television. The General Secretary is expected to deliver a commemorative speech.

Before the ceremony, current and former leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, central ministries, agencies, mass organizations, and Hanoi will visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and lay flowers at the Monument to Martyrs on Bac Son street. The Government Office will lead this activity.

During the anniversary, the General Secretary is expected to meet with representatives of strong grassroots party organizations, veteran party members, exemplary party members, meritorious individuals, policy families, and people from all walks of life across the northern, central, and southern regions.

The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Central Theoretical Council will review the 100 years of the Party's leadership in Vietnam's revolution, propose development orientations for the next 100 years, and summarize 40 years of implementing the Platform for National Construction during the transitional period to socialism.

During the 2026-2030 period, many other national-scale events will also be organized, including: the 80th anniversary of the National Resistance War; the 300th birth anniversary of the renowned scholar Le Quy Don; the 80th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day; the 950th anniversary of the victory on the Nhu Nguyet River and the nation's first Declaration of Independence, "Nam quoc son ha"; the 600th anniversary of the Chi Lang - Xuong Giang victory; the 110th birth anniversary of former General Secretary Do Muoi; the 800th birth anniversary of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan; and the 50th anniversary of the victory in the Southwestern Border Defense War.

In 2025, Vietnam will host two large-scale military parades and processions: one in Ho Chi Minh City to commemorate the 50th anniversary of national reunification, and another in Hanoi for the 80th anniversary of National Day.
