Northern Vietnam is experiencing an intense cold spell, making people moving from warmer regions susceptible to "cold shock," doctors advise wearing multiple layers, consuming heat-generating foods, and practicing breathing exercises to help the body adapt.

Northern Vietnam will experience drizzles and cold weather at night and in the morning until late next week, followed by the impact of a new cold spell.

mau Son peak, 1,500 m high, records 0 degrees Celsius, while Hanoi registers over 10 degrees Celsius, with colder temperatures expected as a cold air mass continues to descend.

On the first day of the cold snap, the lowest temperatures recorded were 2,5 degrees Celsius in Mau Son and 12 degrees Celsius in Hanoi, a sharp decrease from yesterday.

The northern region will maintain light fog for the next two days before a strong cold spell brings severe cold.
