The number of dissolved businesses increased by nearly 119% in nine months, while new establishments and returning operations decreased by 3.2%.

Tax agencies must not demand additional unfounded procedures or documents, nor require repeated explanations when businesses apply to terminate their tax identification numbers.

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has called for simplified and streamlined dissolution and bankruptcy procedures for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), emphasizing the need to prevent situations where "entering the market is already difficult, but leaving it is even harder".

The tax authority stated it will complete procedures to close tax codes within three working days after businesses submit documents and fulfill budget obligations.

Businesses no longer operating at their registered address that wish to dissolve must fulfill all tax, invoice, and dependent unit obligations before submitting their termination application.
