While medicine accounts for over 31% of the total health insurance fund expenditure, traditional medicine only makes up 5,4%, prompting experts to advocate for integrating traditional medicine into grassroots healthcare through insurance mechanisms.

A free periodic health check-up package, valued at 350,000 VND and funded by the Ministry of Health, will be available to residents starting in 2026. Priority will be given to over 5 million uninsured individuals.
