On 18/8, three days before the main rehearsal at Ba Dinh Square, military vehicles, including tanks, armored vehicles, navy, and air force vehicles, moved from Mieu Mon to central Hanoi.
On 17/7, military tanks and artillery, along with specialized police vehicles, participated in a joint rehearsal for the parade commemorating the 80th National Day.
