The number of university applicants using international language certificates, most commonly IELTS, for English language credit or bonus points has increased by 1.5 to 4 times at many universities.

Students from 675 high schools will receive 0.8-1 bonus points when applying for admission based on academic records to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) in 2025.
