To minimize flooding during the rainy season, Hanoi is accelerating the construction of seven regulating lakes, scattered across various communes and wards.
Most of the city's drainage and flood control plans approved before 2020 are now unsuitable due to outdated rainfall and tidal parameters, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction.
