A retreat amidst the Sa Moc hill at Balana Ha Giang

Balana Ha Giang, nestled amidst the Sa Moc hill in Quan Ba, is developed with a nature-friendly approach, minimizing concrete and steel in its construction.

Balana Ha Giang offers a serene escape for travelers seeking to immerse themselves in nature. According to the investor, this resort will be a prime choice for those desiring fresh air and a connection with the natural world during the peak tourist season of late 2025 and early 2026. The project embraces a philosophy of respecting the landscape, centering on nature, and minimizing intervention with the pristine terrain. Surrounded by the Sa Moc hills of Quan Ba, the resort provides a unique experience: a return to nature's essence, devoid of concrete, steel, plastic, or plywood. Instead, guests are met with the brown hues of wood, the green of the mountains, and the pure air of the highlands.

Each house at Balana is constructed using traditional materials: stone foundations, reclaimed wood sourced from local communities, yin-yang tiles, and glass. The floors are not laid with industrial tiles, nor are steel frames, corrugated iron roofs, or plastic components used. This deliberate choice of materials aims to maintain a rustic feel, allowing guests to engage directly with natural textures rather than the familiar industrial surfaces found in major cities.

The villas are thoughtfully scattered across the mountainside, following the natural slope to minimize excavation. This approach preserved many trees, especially Sa Moc trees over 10 years old and 7-10 meters tall, which were retained and supplemented, creating a lush green canopy around the resort. From their balconies, guests can observe the valley and seasonal terraced fields. Despite the rustic materials, the sophisticated arrangement imbues each room with a natural elegance, offering sufficient comfort without sacrificing the spirit of Ha Giang's mountains.

A notable feature is Balana Ha Giang's location beside an 11-hectare lake with 4 hectares of surface water, offering scenic views often compared to Xuan Huong Lake Dalat. Activities here are designed for a gentle, restorative pace, promoting well-being and mental rejuvenation. These include cycling, freshwater fishing, relaxing by the ecological pool, taking afternoon strolls, or gathering around a campfire in the evening. Guests can also enjoy glamping, camping, and engaging in traditional pole dancing with local residents.

With a low construction density, most of the area is dedicated to green spaces and water bodies, which helps regulate the microclimate and mitigate erosion—a specific challenge in high-altitude regions. At Balana, guests gently and quietly merge with nature. The sounds of rain on tiled roofs, leaves rustling in the wind, and the rhythm of mountain life create a sense of peace, allowing visitors to deeply connect with the identity of this land.

Balana Ha Giang does not pursue a large-scale resort model. The project opts for a "just enough" approach, prioritizing harmony with nature and preserving the original characteristics of the stone plateau. This strategy ensures the development's sustainability, preventing undue pressure on the surrounding landscape.

The operational team prioritizes employing local labor, contributing to stable livelihoods. The existing green areas are preserved, and additional trees are planted, forming a natural cover around the resort. Waste management practices focus on minimization and avoiding single-use plastics. By consistently applying these principles, Balana stands as one of the few developments in Ha Giang that balances aesthetic appeal with environmental responsibility. The resort helps shape the green tourism development direction many localities are embracing.

Amidst the rush of modern life, Balana offers a tranquil space for guests to temporarily escape daily demands. Here, they can breathe fresh air, admire the mountain scenery, and rediscover a sense of balance and renewed energy. It is an ideal choice for those seeking a simple yet complete retreat that respects the natural beauty of the Ha Giang plateau.
