On 11/3, Felix, a German photographer, arrived at Phung Hung train street around 15h to watch the train pass at 15h20. As he was setting up his action camera to record the train, a male employee approached, offering to film for him.
The employee placed Felix's camera on the tracks, surprising the German tourist, and stated, "I will compensate you if anything happens to the camera." The device rested on the gravel between the two rails, its lens pointed upwards to capture a unique angle as the train passed.
"Initially, I was afraid he would run off with my camera. Then, I worried about the camera itself, but look at the result," Felix said, adding that the footage surprised him. After sharing it on social media, Felix's video garnered nearly 11,000 likes, with most viewers astonished by the unique perspective.
Benni, another foreign tourist, also shared that the male employee had offered to place his camera. However, he declined, fearing the camera would be crushed by the passing train.

On the morning of 16/3, a representative of the Hoan Kiem Ward Police announced that they had identified the individual responsible. He is a 17-year-old employee, a relative of the owner of the Phung Hung train street coffee shop, who started working after Tet (Lunar New Year) when the shop was short-staffed.
A representative of the Hoan Kiem Ward Police stated they would increase inspections and address cases that compromise railway safety. The unit is currently compiling documentation to fine the male employee.
In January, the Hanoi People's Committee proposed that the Ministry of Construction adjust train operations, with passenger trains from the south stopping at Hanoi station and trains from the north stopping at Gia Lam station. The city's rationale is to preserve and promote the historical value of Long Bien Bridge, linking it with the development of cultural, service, and tourism spaces within the 131 stone arch spans along the railway section from Hanoi station to Long Bien station.
Consequently, the train street coffee area, located on the railway section between Hanoi station and Long Bien station, will no longer have passenger trains passing through. Currently, this section sees four pairs of passenger trains daily on the Hanoi - Hai Phong route, two pairs on the Hanoi - Lao Cai route, and numerous freight trains.
