Firework viewing spots for National Day in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City will host 4 firework displays for National Day. Visitors can choose viewing spots at public spaces or in cafes and restaurants.

High-altitude fireworks will be launched at three locations: the entrance of the Saigon River Tunnel in An Khanh ward, the central park of Thu Thiem New Urban Area in Binh Duong ward, and the central square of Back Beach in Vung Tau ward. Low-altitude fireworks will be displayed at Dam Sen Cultural Park in Binh Thoi ward. The displays will take place from 9 pm to 9:15 pm. Below are some suggested firework viewing spots for visitors.

High-altitude firework viewing spots

Saigon River Tunnel, An Khanh ward

Saigon Riverbank Park

The park offers the clearest view of the fireworks, being close to the high-altitude launch site at the entrance of the Saigon River Tunnel in An Khanh ward. The 20-hectare park stretches 600 meters from the foot of Ba Son Bridge to the Thu Thiem Tunnel entrance. It offers ample public space for free firework viewing. For a more comfortable experience, visitors can visit cafes and restaurants within the park. Arriving early is recommended to secure a good spot.

Cafes near Bach Dang Wharf, located at the public firework display area, offer convenient viewing of the fireworks and scenic views of Ba Son Bridge and the Saigon River. Options in this area include Katinat, Highlands, and 3T Egg Coffee, open from 7 am to midnight.

Song Bar, Hilton

Located on the 40th floor of a hotel on Me Linh Square in Saigon ward, Song Bar offers an open-air space with panoramic views of the Saigon River, Ba Son Bridge, and Bach Dang Wharf, providing a complete view of the city center fireworks. Tickets for the firework display on the evening of 2/9 are priced at nearly 1.2 million VND per person.

Le Meridien Saigon Hotel

Situated on Ton Duc Thang Street in Saigon ward, overlooking the Saigon River, the hotel provides clear views of both low and high-altitude fireworks in the city center. Guests can enjoy a seafood buffet at the hotel restaurant starting from 1.4 million VND per person and then watch the fireworks from the 9th-floor pool. Firework viewing packages are priced at 800,000 VND per person, offering panoramic views of Ba Son Bridge and the Saigon River Tunnel.

M Bar, Mjectic Hotel

Located on the 8th floor of the hotel at the corner of Dong Khoi and Ton Duc Thang streets in Ho Chi Minh City's center, M Bar offers views of the firework displays from Ba Son Bridge and the Saigon River Tunnel. The bar serves cocktails and beer, priced from 150,000 VND.

Thu Thiem New Urban Area Central Park, Binh Duong ward

Fireworks will be displayed at the central park of Thu Thiem New Urban Area. The park, spanning over 70 hectares and built in 2009, features fountains, a lake, streams, landscaped gardens, and a children's playground. With its open space, greenery, and large lake, the park provides a pleasant environment for picnics and leisurely strolls in the afternoon leading up to the fireworks. Its modern infrastructure, clean landscape, and photogenic spots make it popular with young people. Numerous restaurants and cafes around the park offer convenient viewing spots without obstruction from tall buildings.

Back Beach Central Square, Vung Tau ward

Tam Thang Tower, Vung Tau

Recently inaugurated at the end of August, Tam Thang Tower on Back Beach in Vung Tau attracts thousands of visitors daily to admire and experience its light art and musical fountain. The tower's mosaic tile facade creates a shimmering effect in the sunlight and a dazzling display when illuminated.

At night, the multi-colored lighting system transforms the tower into a "forest of light". The surrounding square, covering over 17,000 m2, is designed as a multi-functional community space, featuring a musical fountain, a viewing platform, and underground services. Visitors can choose from various restaurants and cafes around the tower to enjoy the high-altitude fireworks.

Imperial Vung Tau Hotel

Located in the center of Thuy Van Street, the hotel is just across the road from Back Beach. Imperial Vung Tau is only about 100 meters from the firework launch site, making it convenient to enjoy dining at La Sirena seafood restaurant while watching the high-altitude fireworks over the sea. The restaurant is often crowded during holidays and weekends, so booking in advance is recommended to secure a good table.

Low-altitude firework viewing spot

Dam Sen Cultural Park

This is a familiar spot for viewing low-altitude fireworks in Ho Chi Minh City. Admission prices remain unchanged at 140,000 VND for adults and 100,000 VND for children. However, the park tends to be crowded during firework displays, so arriving an hour early is advisable to avoid long ticket lines and secure a good viewing spot. Visitors can also choose to watch the low-altitude fireworks from the Vuon Da cafe within the Dam Sen Park in Binh Thoi ward.

Prior to the firework displays, Ho Chi Minh City will host special art performances at 7:30 pm at three locations: Nguyen Hue Street (Saigon ward), the outdoor stage at the Thu Thiem New Urban Area Central Park (Binh Duong ward), and Thuy Van Square (Vung Tau ward).
