The "Hanoi 5 Gates" train draws inspiration from the ancient Thang Long citadel. The carriages are named after five of the citadel's gates: O Cau Den, O Quan Chuong, O Cau Giay, O Cho Dua, and O Dong Mac. These names evoke the thousand-year history of the capital and the heritage of the Red River Delta.
The train consists of five double-decker passenger carriages and two dedicated check-in carriages. The carriages feature luxurious interiors with unique themes and seat 40 to 60 passengers.
