Travel perks for VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio runners

Electric vehicle company Green SM launches discount codes for athletes participating in the race in Can Gio on the morning of 1/5.

The incentive program aims to facilitate convenient travel for runners throughout the event, from race kit collection to the official race day.

Accordingly, 5,000 runners participating in the event can use the code "VMCG" on the Green SM application to receive a 20% discount on travel fares, up to VND 50,000 per trip. A total of 10,000 codes are issued, and each user can use a maximum of two codes throughout the program.

The offer applies to services including: Green SM Bike, Bike Plus, Car, Premium, and Limo. It is available from 6h to 23h, running from 29/4 until the end of 1/5. The condition for use is that either the pick-up or drop-off location must be within the event area.

Specifically, on 29/4, the discount code is valid in the Vincom Mega Mall Thao Dien area (Ho Chi Minh City), where race kit distribution takes place. On 30/4 and 1/5, the offer applies to Thoi Dai Avenue, located in Tien Bay area, Vinhomes Green Paradise urban area.

In addition to discount codes, a Green SM representative stated that the company will increase the number of ride-hailing taxis by 300-350 vehicles in Can Gio during the event, from 29/4 to 1/5.

Electric vehicle travel incentives offer greater convenience for runners, contributing to a reduction in personal vehicle usage, aligning with the event's environmentally friendly approach.

Beyond travel support, the organizing committee, in collaboration with Green SM, will arrange a lighting vehicle system along the race course. Thirty electric vehicles will be deployed to provide illumination from 4h to 6h on the morning of 1/5. The illuminated area will focus on Rung Sac Road, specifically at its intersection with the road leading to Monkey Island.

The VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio takes place on 1/5, attracting 5,000 athletes. The event features the greenest route in the VnExpress Marathon system, with a course running along the coast and through mangrove forests. Athletes will start competing at 4h. The race course has been measured and certified by the Vietnam Athletics Federation.

The race is anticipated to become a new sports tourism product for the city, connected to a historically rich area that is transforming into a modern coastal urban center.

Beyond the competitive aspect, coinciding with the 30/4 and 1/5 holidays, the event is ideal for families seeking to combine sports and ecotourism. On this occasion, 5,000 participating athletes will also have the opportunity to enjoy local cuisine, attend music festivals, and watch celebratory fireworks right at the event venue.
