Electric vehicle travel incentives offer greater convenience for runners, contributing to a reduction in personal vehicle usage, aligning with the event's environmentally friendly approach.
Beyond travel support, the organizing committee, in collaboration with Green SM, will arrange a lighting vehicle system along the race course. Thirty electric vehicles will be deployed to provide illumination from 4h to 6h on the morning of 1/5. The illuminated area will focus on Rung Sac Road, specifically at its intersection with the road leading to Monkey Island.
The VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio takes place on 1/5, attracting 5,000 athletes. The event features the greenest route in the VnExpress Marathon system, with a course running along the coast and through mangrove forests. Athletes will start competing at 4h. The race course has been measured and certified by the Vietnam Athletics Federation.
The race is anticipated to become a new sports tourism product for the city, connected to a historically rich area that is transforming into a modern coastal urban center.
Beyond the competitive aspect, coinciding with the 30/4 and 1/5 holidays, the event is ideal for families seeking to combine sports and ecotourism. On this occasion, 5,000 participating athletes will also have the opportunity to enjoy local cuisine, attend music festivals, and watch celebratory fireworks right at the event venue.
