"After a rigorous counting process, I am pleased to announce that the line of baked apple pies contains 8,940 pieces, setting a new Guinness world record," Paulina Sapinska, a Guinness World Records adjudicator, stated on 6/9.
The world's longest apple pie in Jaskovo, made from two tons of flour and three tons of apples, stretches 3,136 m.
"Apple pie is a symbol closely tied to local tradition," said regional mayor Martina Furdek Hajdin, emphasizing that similar events contribute to rural development.

During Jaskovo's traditional apple pie festival, the pies, made according to a regional recipe, were arranged in a long line by locals and volunteers.
"They worked very hard," Monika Ivis, one of the thousands of visitors who attended the event, shared. "The pie tastes amazing."
The record-breaking pies will be donated to organizations, agencies, and individuals in need.
Jaskovo, located 66 km southwest of the capital Zagreb, previously broke the Guinness world record 10 years ago with a 1,479-m-long line of apple pies. The Croatian town of Sisak took Jaskovo's title in 2019 with a 1,762-m-long line of 6,000 pies.
