Speaking at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) conference in San Diego, California on 2/7, former US President Joe Biden touted his administration's achievements and said he remains concerned about US and global issues after leaving office.
According to Biden, several world leaders, as well as members of both US political parties, have asked him to be more politically active or have sought his advice.
"I've gotten calls from European leaders asking me to get involved," Biden said. "I can't and won't, because things are different now. But I do offer them advice."

He also mentioned that while he doesn't frequently appear in public for events, he has responded to numerous calls from politicians in both the Democratic and Republican parties.
"They all want to talk to me, not because they think I have all the answers," he added. "They just want to talk to me. I'm meeting with a lot of people in high positions. I'm not seeking them out; I'm just meeting with them at their request."
The former president didn't specify the topics these individuals discussed or the advice they sought. Biden said he is "working like crazy" on a memoir about his time in office.
Since leaving office, the 82-year-old Biden has made few public appearances. Nearly three months after leaving the White House, he delivered his first public speech as a former president.
The former president's office announced in May that doctors had discovered he has metastatic prostate cancer. House Republicans are investigating Biden's physical and mental condition while he was in office and have called several of his top aides to testify.
