President Donald Trump announced on 16/12 that Israeli-American billionaire Miriam Adelson had directly and indirectly funded his campaign with 250 million USD, calling her his "biggest donor".
"When someone is willing to donate 250 million USD, I think she should be invited up to greet everyone", he told the crowd attending the Jewish Hanukkah celebration at the White House.
Adelson, widow of billionaire Sheldon Adelson, stepped onto the stage and stood next to Trump. She stated she had just met with Alan Dershowitz, a Harvard Law School professor, to discuss the feasibility of a third United States presidential term bid.

The crowd chanted "four more years, four more years" while Adelson turned back to speak with Trump.
"She said 'think about it, I'll give you another 250 million USD'", President Trump told the audience.
"I will donate", Adelson confirmed.
Trump continued to mention the billionaire's late husband, one of the biggest donors in United States politics. The United States president stated that billionaire Sheldon would often call to request a few minutes with him, but they would end up talking for one and a half hours.
"He did everything to fight for Israel", the United States leader stated.
The Adelsons had long urged the Trump administration to pursue a pro-Israel policy agenda. During Trump's first term, billionaire Sheldon urged the United States to move its embassy to Jerusalem, and Miriam later suggested Trump support Israel's annexation of the West Bank.
Trump has repeatedly hinted at the possibility of running in 2028, even though the United States Constitution limits presidents to two terms. "I'm not kidding. Many people want me to run", Trump said in an interview last March.
