Celebratory gunfire is a common occurrence at weddings in the Black Sea region of northern Turkey.
Last week, a man was killed and two others injured by celebratory gunfire in Trabzon province, northeastern Turkey, before a wedding ceremony even began. The wedding was canceled, and two people, including a police officer, were arrested in connection with the incident.
