In a corruption case handled by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), former Ukraine presidential chief of staff Andriy Yermak faces charges of money laundering totaling approximately 10,5 million USD. These illicit activities were allegedly conducted through luxury construction projects located in the outskirts of the capital, Kyiv. Further revelations from SAPO prosecutor Valentina Hrebenyuk during hearings on 12-13/5 indicate that Yermak also maintained regular contact with a mysterious individual concerning high-level government appointments, a contact saved in his phone as "Veronika Feng Shui Office".
Hrebenyuk identified this individual as Veronika Anikyevich, 51 years old, a mystic specializing in astrology who resides in Kyiv. Anikyevich registered her business to provide "personal services" and marketed herself as someone who "helps people find wisdom in the flow of their lives" through astrology. Evidence from communications shows that Yermak allegedly sent birth dates of candidates to Anikyevich before making appointment decisions. One notable instance involved the selection of Iryna Venediktova as prosecutor general in 3/2020. 'Those approved by the mystic were subsequently appointed', Hrebenyuk said.

Investigators also collected several messages sent by Anikyevich to a contact named "Andrei 2025", urging Yermak to vigorously counter political and media criticism. One message conveyed a stark warning: "If you don't stop them, they will take power. It's either you or them, a fight to the death."
Testifying in court, Yermak initially denied any communication with mystics or prophets. When questioned about Anikyevich, he stated he knew several people named Veronika but could not recall their full names. However, Igor Fomin, Yermak's lawyer, confirmed on 15/5 that his client did communicate with Veronika Feng Shui Office. Fomin maintained that these exchanges were a personal matter and occurred only after Yermak had left the government in 11/2025. 'If anyone reads those communications, they will understand how they spoke. This is a personal matter. Everyone has such things', lawyer Fomin said.
Yermak, once the closest aide to President Volodymyr Zelensky and one of Ukraine's most powerful officials, resigned in 11/2025 following a search of his home by anti-corruption forces. He is currently under investigation for a 100 million USD corruption scheme involving the state nuclear power company Energoatom. This Energoatom investigation, which began last year, represents the largest corruption case during Zelensky's tenure.
After Yermak was notified as a suspect in the corruption and money laundering case on 11/5, Anikyevich publicly criticized NABU and SAPO officials as "scum". She claimed that the accusations were part of a "special operation to force Ukraine to surrender".
