Prince Harry drove himself to Clarence House in London on 10/9 for tea with King Charles III, CNN reported. Buckingham Palace confirmed the king and Harry spent about 50 minutes together.
Harry later left the residence and told reporters, "My father is very well." This was their first face-to-face meeting since 2/2024, when the king received a cancer diagnosis.

Harry returned to England this week for a series of visits and charitable activities, after expressing his desire for reconciliation with his family in May. In April, he also returned to the UK for a court hearing regarding the restoration of security arrangements for him and his family during their stays in England. However, he didn't meet with his father then, as the king was on a state visit to Italy.
Harry previously expressed his desire for reconciliation with the royal family but suggested that King Charles and some family members might not forgive him.
"I would love to reconcile with my family. Life is precious. I don't know how much longer my father has to live. He hasn't spoken to me because of disagreements about security arrangements in the UK, but it would be wonderful to reconcile," Harry said.
Harry stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and relocated to California with his wife and children. Since leaving England, the couple has been openly critical of the royal family in documentaries, a memoir, and a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. Harry has had minimal contact with his father and brother, Prince William.
