The 40-year-old prince flew to Poland Tuesday morning and then took a train to Kyiv, Ukraine's capital. Images shared by the media showed Harry sitting in a luxurious train car and being greeted upon arrival at the platform in Kyiv.
This is Harry's first visit to Kyiv. He traveled with the Invictus Games Foundation, which organizes sporting events for wounded and injured veterans. "We cannot stop the war, but we can do everything to support wounded veterans in their recovery," Harry said.

He is expected to meet Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and approximately 200 Ukrainian veterans. Harry’s visit coincided with the arrival of the new British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, on her first overseas trip since taking office last week.
Harry returned to the UK this week for a series of charitable visits and engagements after expressing his desire for reconciliation with his family in May. He also met King Charles III at Clarence House in London. This was their first face-to-face meeting since 2/2024, when King Charles received a cancer diagnosis.
Harry stepped down from royal duties in 2020 and moved to California with his wife and children. Since leaving the UK, the couple has been openly critical of the royal family in documentaries, a memoir, and a controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey. Harry has had minimal contact with his father and brother, Prince William.
