"700 alleged Israeli mercenaries were arrested during the 12 days of conflict," Iran's Far News reported on 25/6. "These mercenaries, mainly belonging to espionage and reconnaissance networks, were apprehended based on accusations and counter-intelligence activities."

After Tel Aviv launched Operation "Lion Rising" on 13/6, the Israeli Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations (Mossad) confirmed that its agents in Iran participated in the operation, including preparing and carrying out drone strikes on targets from within Iran.

According to Far News, Iranian authorities conducted a nationwide sweep for Israeli spies, including in the provinces of Kermanshah, Isfahan, Khuzestan, Fars, and Lorestan. Authorities have not disclosed the number of arrests for alleged espionage on behalf of Israel in Tehran.

The Iranian judiciary announced the same day that authorities had executed three people convicted of spying for Israel. "Idris Ali, Azad Shojai, and Rasoul Ahmad Rasoul transported equipment to carry out assassinations. These individuals were arrested and tried for collaborating with Israel," the judiciary stated.

Following the outbreak of the conflict, Iran announced expedited trials for those arrested on suspicion of collaborating with Israel. On 22/6 and 23/6, Iran executed several individuals convicted of spying for Mossad.

Israeli officials have not commented on the reports.

The conflict began on 13/6 when Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran with Operation "Lion Rising," resulting in the deaths of several high-ranking commanders and nuclear scientists. Iran retaliated with Operation "True Promise 3". The fighting has resulted in more than 430 deaths and over 3,500 injuries in Iran, and 25 deaths and over 2,500 injuries in Israel.

On the morning of 22/6, the US intervened in the conflict, conducting airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities and then calling for negotiations with Tehran.

President Trump announced one day later that Iran and Israel had agreed to a comprehensive ceasefire. On 24/6, both Iran and Israel accepted the ceasefire, each declaring themselves the victor.
