New Israeli attacks targeted more than 10 locations in southern Lebanon, starting at midnight and continuing until this morning, according to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA). Nabatieh city and its suburbs, an area that has been a focal point of recent clashes, were among the sites attacked.
The new wave of attacks killed 5 people, including three in the town of Arab Salim, one other person in Deir Zahrani, and one at the entrance to Dweir town, NNA reported.
Israel has not commented on the reports.

These new attacks occurred after a US official stated on 19/6 that Israel and the armed group Hezbollah had agreed to a ceasefire. The agreement was set to take effect around 16:00 on the same day.
This effort was brokered by Qatar, the US, and Iran. Israel's ambassador to the US stated that his country was committed to upholding the ceasefire agreement if Hezbollah respected it.
Before the ceasefire was announced, Lebanon's Ministry of Health reported that Israeli airstrikes and shelling in the country's south and east had killed 47 people on 19/6.
This was the most serious wave of attacks since Washington and Tehran announced on 17/6 that they had signed a memorandum to end the conflict that had lasted for over three months. That agreement also included a provision for a cessation of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The Israeli military stated on 19/6 that four of its soldiers had been killed. It added that its forces had conducted over 150 attacks in Lebanon, eliminating dozens of Hezbollah fighters.
US officials, including President Donald Trump, expressed disappointment regarding Israel's military operations in Lebanon. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on 19/6 that the Israeli military would remain in southern Lebanon "as long as necessary."
Hezbollah became involved in the Middle East conflict in early March by launching attacks against Israel. The group claimed it was a response to the assassination of Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei. Israel retaliated with a large-scale air campaign and a ground offensive.
