Before their meeting at the White House on 7/7, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu gifted US president Donald Trump a mezuzah case shaped like a B-2 stealth bomber. A mezuzah is a traditional Jewish religious item containing a handwritten scroll of prayers, typically affixed to doorframes.
"When a Jewish family affixes a mezuzah to their doorpost, they create a connection with their heritage and continue a tradition thousands of years old," explains Chabad, a website dedicated to Jewish practices.

Arutz Sheva reports that the mezuzah case given to Trump was made from a fragment of an Iranian missile recovered by Israel during the 12-day conflict with Iran in June. "The gift symbolizes prime minister Netanyahu's and Israel's gratitude to Trump after the US president ordered strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities," the news site stated.
On 8/7, prime minister Netanyahu visited the US Capitol to meet House speaker Mike Johnson and attend a Senate meeting. When asked by reporters about Israel's interest in acquiring B-2 bombers and GBU-57 bombs, Netanyahu expressed enthusiasm. "Would I like Israel to possess the formidable capabilities that the US has? Of course. Who wouldn't? We always appreciate US support. It serves not only Israel's security interests, but also those of the US and the entire world," he said.

The conflict between Tel Aviv and Tehran erupted on 13/6 when the Israeli military launched preemptive strikes on military targets and nuclear facilities in Iran, citing the need to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. The two sides then exchanged attacks, causing casualties and damage.
On 22/6, the US intervened in the conflict, deploying military assets, including B-2 bombers, to strike three Iranian nuclear facilities and then called for negotiations with Tehran. Tehran responded with a restrained attack on a US base in Qatar.
On 24/6, Iran and Israel agreed to a ceasefire, ending 12 days of fighting, with both sides claiming victory.
