Itamar Ben Gvir, Israel's national security minister, hosted his 50th birthday celebration on the evening of 2/5 at his villa in the southern part of the country. Many Israeli officials, including Defense Minister Israel Katz, Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, and senior police officers, attended the party.
The Israeli official later posted on Instagram, showing he received a large, three-tiered birthday cake topped with a yellow noose model.
Ayala, Ben Gvir's wife, gave her husband a smaller cake, also featuring a noose, surrounded by the inscription, "Happy Birthday Minister Ben Gvir. Sometimes dreams come true".

The noose image is believed to allude to the law passed by the Israeli parliament in March, which applies the death penalty to Palestinians convicted by Israel of "terrorist attacks". This policy was championed by Minister Ben Gvir and his Otzma Yehudit party.
The law sparked widespread controversy. Ben Gvir and his supporters view it as a deterrent against attacks targeting Israel. Opponents argue it violates international law and undermines judicial processes. Human rights groups contend the law is discriminatory because it applies only to Palestinians.
The party also drew attention because Minister Ben Gvir invited many senior commanders from the Israel Police Headquarters to attend. He has long faced accusations of excessive interference in police operations, with multiple petitions calling for his dismissal submitted to the Israel Supreme Court.
