North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, his wife Ri Sol-ju, and daughter Ju-ae attended the grand opening of the Kalma seaside resort on 24/6, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported today. South Korean media said this was Ri's first public appearance since a New Year's Day art performance on 1/1.

The resort boasts hotels and villas with a capacity of nearly 20,000 guests, catering to both domestic and international tourists. It offers amenities for swimming, sports, entertainment, and dining.
Kim cut the ribbon, toured the facilities, and remarked that North Korea's long-term efforts had materialized into a "splendid reality." He hailed the resort as "one of the country's greatest achievements this year."

"The Wonsan Kalma seaside resort should play a leading role in laying the foundation for North Korea's tourism culture," Kim stated, directing resort staff to provide the best possible amenities and entertainment for visitors.
The Kalma seaside resort will welcome its first guests on 1/7.
