"Communication channels still exist and are operational. Our negotiators can still communicate through these channels. But right now, it is perhaps more accurate to say that there is a pause," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters today.
According to Peskov, Russia remains ready to pursue the path of peaceful dialogue, but the reality is that Europe is hindering this effort.
Officials from the US, Europe, and Ukraine have not commented on the information.
Previously, leaders of 35 countries in a "goodwill coalition", mainly European nations, held a summit in France to finalize security guarantees for Ukraine and urged US President Donald Trump to support these proposals. 26 countries committed to ensuring Ukraine's post-war security, including deploying international forces to the country.

Russia-Ukraine peace talks resumed in May, thanks to the mediation of President Trump. Trump held a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin on 15/8 in Alaska, and then met with European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House on 18/8.
These events raised hopes for a direct meeting between Putin and Zelensky to end the conflict. Both the Russian and Ukrainian leaders initially expressed willingness for this option, however, subsequent developments suggest that the prospects for peace talks are very fragile.
On 2/9, President Trump expressed his "great disappointment" that Putin had not reached a peace agreement with Ukraine. Zelensky accused Russia of doing everything possible to obstruct the summit between the leaders of the two countries, while Moscow said the agenda for such a meeting was not yet ready.
President Putin warned that Russia would continue its campaign to end the conflict in Ukraine by force if the parties did not reach a peace agreement.
