Leaders congratulate General Secretary To Lam on re-election

Leaders from Laos, China, and Cambodia have sent messages and letters congratulating General Secretary To Lam on his re-election at the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

In his congratulatory letter, General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith affirmed that General Secretary To Lam's re-election for a new term reflects the trust and high regard of Vietnam's Party, State, and people for his past contributions. He congratulated the success of the 14th Congress and expressed confidence that Vietnam will achieve its goals.

The Lao General Secretary emphasized his commitment to working with General Secretary To Lam and the new leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam to preserve, nurture, and strengthen the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic alignment between Laos and Vietnam.

He also expressed his desire to meet General Secretary To Lam soon to discuss and agree on directions to deepen the strategic alignment between the two countries, moving together into a new era of development.

General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping also sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary To Lam and the new Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

He commended Vietnam's achievements in socialism building and reform, affirming that Vietnam's international role and standing have improved.

The Chinese General Secretary stated that the success of the 14th Congress marks a new era for Vietnam, expressing confidence that under the leadership of the new Party Central Committee, Vietnam will achieve more successes. He cherishes the relationship between the two sides, affirming his readiness to work with General Secretary To Lam to strengthen strategic exchanges, deepen relations between the two Parties and two countries, and promote the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future of strategic significance.

In his congratulatory letter, King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia expressed confidence that Vietnam will continue to develop strongly under General Secretary To Lam's leadership, maintaining its important role regionally and globally. He hopes that Vietnam-Cambodia relations will continue to develop for peace, stability, cooperation, and national development.

Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party Hun Sen also sent a congratulatory letter, emphasizing that General Secretary To Lam's re-election demonstrates the high trust of Vietnam's Party and people. He believes that the good neighborly relations, traditional friendship, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and two countries will continue to strengthen and develop sustainably.
