A Beechcraft 300 light aircraft crashed and caught fire while landing at Chinle Airport in eastern Arizona on 5/8, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said. Images released by local police show the plane broken into pieces and burned.
All 4 people on board were killed. A local official stated they were medical personnel en route to a hospital to pick up a patient.
The cause of the incident remains unclear. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.

Police have not released the victims' identities. The aircraft was owned by CSI Aviation in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which has notified the victims' families.
CSI Aviation specializes in air medical transport and has held contracts with the US Department of Defense and served high-ranking members of the United Nations, according to the NY Post.
