First Lady Melania Trump and Kate Middleton spent time with 4- to 6-year-old Squirrel Scouts at Frogmore Gardens, south of Windsor Castle, on 18/9. Trump wore a brown suede jacket, while the Princess of Wales opted for green.
The children painted on leaves with ink and then attached them to paper. "Very nice," Trump commented as she sat down to admire their creations.
Trump and Middleton smiled as they shook a parachute filled with balls, much to the children's delight. They then presented badges and shook hands with each scout. "Congratulations," Trump said, clapping.
Earlier that day, Trump joined Queen Camilla for a tour of the Royal Library at Windsor. They viewed a display of Leonardo da Vinci masterpieces and other works, including a book of poems and drawings by Queen Elizabeth I.
These activities took place on the final day of President Trump's state visit to the UK. When asked, Trump said his wife thought Middleton was "a wonderful person".
Middleton, 43, gradually returned to royal duties after her cancer diagnosis in 3/2024. "She's gone through a lot," Trump remarked during his UK visit.
