The visit will take place from 16/9 to 20/9, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said at a regular press conference today that the theme of AIPA-46 is "Parliaments at the forefront for an ASEAN of inclusive and sustainable growth."
The event will highlight the crucial role of parliaments in promoting inclusive and sustainable growth, facilitating exchanges of experience and best practices on legal frameworks and oversight mechanisms to support such growth.

AIPA-46 will also focus on enhancing the capacity of parliaments to seize opportunities and address challenges. It also aims to promote cooperation and coordination between parliaments and socio-political organizations, the private sector, and academics to implement the ASEAN Community Vision 2045.
Chairman Man is expected to attend the AIPA Executive Committee meeting, participate in a joint meeting of delegation heads with the Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives, attend the opening ceremony, deliver a keynote speech at the first plenary session, and hold bilateral meetings with heads of parliamentary delegations.
During his official visit to Malaysia, he will hold talks with the Speakers of the Malaysian House of Representatives and Senate, meet with senior Malaysian leaders, and engage in other important diplomatic activities.
"The Vietnam-Malaysia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is in an excellent phase, characterized by high political trust, close economic and investment cooperation, and strong people-to-people exchanges," Hang said.
Vietnam and Malaysia established diplomatic relations in 1973 and elevated their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 11/2024.
In 2024, bilateral trade reached over 14.2 billion USD, a 12% increase compared to 2023. Malaysia is Vietnam's third-largest trading partner within ASEAN and ninth-largest globally. It is also the third-largest ASEAN investor in Vietnam and ranks 10th among 143 countries and territories investing in Vietnam.
