The UK Foreign Office said today that it summoned Russia's ambassador following last week's drone incursion into Polish territory, which triggered a collective NATO response to shoot it down.
The UK's statement emphasized that violations of NATO airspace are "completely unacceptable" and affirmed London's solidarity with its allies in "condemning this reckless action".
"Russia should understand that its aggression will only strengthen NATO's unity and our resolve to stand with Ukraine. Any further incursions will be met with force", a UK Foreign Office spokesperson said.

The Russian embassy in London has not yet commented on this information. Russia previously stated it had no intention of attacking targets in Poland and that, at the time of the airspace violation, it was conducting strikes in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, a Kremlin spokesperson today accused NATO of "in fact, being in conflict with Russia" by continuing to support Ukraine both directly and indirectly. "This is obvious and requires no further confirmation," he said.
Earlier today, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev warned that conflict between Russia and NATO would erupt if the alliance established a no-fly zone and shot down Russian drones over Ukraine.
These Russian comments came after Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski suggested that NATO should consider establishing a no-fly zone in Ukraine, while noting that Warsaw could only make such a decision together with its allies.
